The grippy case is grippy! Just grippy enough to confidently stay in your hand but not overly grippy.

I want to give this case 5 stars. I have had GRIPZILLA cases on every one of my iPhones and LOVE THEM. But on the iPhone 16 I wish all cases had the camera control button, not just a pass though. I put this amazing armor on my phone just to have this big hole on the side. If they update the case with a camera button I will happily buy a second one. But overall the case is pretty solid.

This case is great. I love the grippiness of it. I purchased the screen protector with it and it was super simple to install. One of the easiest screen protectors to put on.

I waited a bit to review this case because I wanted to make sure it really did work for me before I posted my thoughts. So far, I'm very pleased! I agree that the area by the camera button is a bit thin, and will probably wear out/ break, sooner than I would like, but that's pretty much the only negative I'm seeing so far. I love how easy it is to get the case on and off, so when I need to take it out of the case in a hurry, I'm not breaking a nail, or my phone, trying to free the device. A few people commented that they could not get a screen protector to work with their case, I have a 16 max pro, and I'm using the smartish tuff sheet screen protectors and it fits perfectly. There's no overlap between the case and the screen protector, I feel like both items will totally be able to do their jobs as designed.I really like the gripiness (for lack of a better term) of this case. It's not slippery at all, and it's contoured to be held quite easily. This is my first Smartish case, I got it based on the recommendation from Wirecutter, and I'm quite pleased that I did. It's a fraction of the cost of the company I used for years with my previous phones and it looks just as nice. Here's hoping that it lasts just as long and protects against falls just as well!

Love the case overall and grip is phenomenal

This phone case provides a perfect fit and sleek design and is compatible with MagSafe. The corners that stick out a little don't get in the way when using it normally, and the indents on the sides make it easy to hold on to.The transparent back material has a slight texture, providing a better grip by reducing slipperiness. Moreover, the iPhone 16 Pro Max's new photo button is conveniently accessible thanks to the precise cutout on the case.I also admire the artwork on this phone case; it appears to be hand-drawn and adds a subtle touch of elegance.It would be great if the phone case had a built-in kickstand and offered a sturdier construction in certain areas.

I love the texture of the sides, and the Camera Cutout works very nicely. Great corner protection.

I switched from otter box to this because the commuter case i had was way too slippery and this one has great grip , feels good in hand nice and snug . My only concern is the lack of protection around the new side camera button which is exposed with only a small strip of protection along the edge of the right screen . That button should be covered like the rest of the buttons

I love this case. I had Smartish Gripzilla cases for my last few iPhone releases. It's super grippy without being sticky. Works excellent with MagSafe chargers. I'm unsure about the negative review about not working with MagSafe chargers. I have no problems with Anker and Belkin MagSafe chargers.The camera button cutout is a good size. It would be awesome if they made it a button like in some other cases, but I am okay with the cutout.I have other cases, but I can't change from the Gripzilla. It's by far the best case ever.

This case is comfortable to use and covers all the bases I need on my phone. It protects the camera effectively and has an edge that protects the screen. The grooves on the side make it very comfortable to hold and even with wet hands, the textured finish will not be slippery.I hope that they continue to make this style going forward with the new iPhones since I do not want to go back to the more expensive cases that do not feel as good to use.

I love the grip on the sides

I tried 2 other cases before buying this one. So glad I didn�t settled on an ok case and bought this one.

This Black color is very rugged looking, and I like it. It really does have a great grip. The massage is the strongest I�ve tried, which is a huge plus.

This case is really great. Fit, finish, and magsafe all great. The corners stick out just a bit, but that hasn't bothered me in normal use. I like the slight indentations on the sides to give you finger grip. But what I really love about this case is that the clear back material is really great. The back isn't slippery, and fingers have just a bit of friction on it, and that makes holding this phone in normal use really great. The new picture button on my 16 pro max is easy to use with a nice cutout, but I'm still not sure quite what that button is for (ha!). I just counted how many times I've typed great in this review, I guess I like the case. Thanks Smartish for making a great product!

Phone cover didn�t work out. It was beautiful. The return credit was super quick.

I've been trying to find a good case for my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I had never heard of Smartish, but I liked the design of the case and that it had MagSafe. I decided to try the case and was left unimpressed in the end.I'll start with the positives. The case is protective and has a thick bumper around the edges. There's an edge around the camera bump and front screen, meaning you can set your iPhone down and not worry. There's MagSafe built into the case, and it worked well. I saw all the same animations on my iPhone as I did when attaching accessories with my official Apple case.The case has rough, rubber grip around the edge making it easy to hold and not drop. Even if you drop your iPhone, it will be well protected. There's ample space for a USB-C cable in the bottom in case you want to charge that way or use wired CarPlay. The case is slim and the cover for the camera button is angled making it easy to access. There are covers over the other buttons, but they're still easy to use.My only complaint is about the front cover. There's enough ingress that it pushes up screen protectors around the corners. I refuse to use my iPhone 16 Pro Max without a screen protector. I don't often drop my phone, but I want to protect against everyday scratches. I ended up giving this case to a friend who doesn't like using screen protectors. I wanted to like this case; I really did. I ticked a bunch of boxes for features I've been looking for. But not being able to use a screen protector with it killed the experience for me.

I like this case for these reasons:- Molded finger indents- Corner cushions- 2-finger pickup thanks to the corner cushions- Grippy finishThe finger indents make the phone more secure in your hand. The corner cushions let you pick a phone out of your pocket with 2 fingers. The interior backside has a large, nice rubber patch, but the interior edges are plain, which is fine.The plastic is a TPU and less grippy than I would like. All in all a great case!

Love the case, finger grooves make it nice holding a bigger iPhone 16 pro max !!

Other homie lied about the wireless charging not working, they�ve either got a garbage wireless charger or they don�t know how to use MagSafe. I just tried it and wireless charging worked flawlessly.

Nice cover looks nice

Purchased this case after seeing a few YouTubers online say good things about it. Unfortunately my experience over the last few days with it hasn�t been the best. The back of the case is VERY slippery and even though textured doesn�t to much to help. The sides are solid in the hand and have great texture for gripping however the texture after some time does irritate your pinky�s (which are at the bottom of the case most of the time for support in my usage). The trip piece above the camera capture cutout is also very wear and am not confident that over time it�ll stay in place and will end up stretching. Case will be returned unfortunately.

Ordered the �Striped Up� case. Definitely grippy, seems pretty rugged. Already dropped my phone from about 4ft onto a hardwood floor and, no damage. Fits on the phone well too.Only nit-picky issue is that the colors look a bit different than the photos. In the photos, the top color looks like it�s sort of an off-white. And the bottom looks like a navy blue.In reality, both are brighter. Top is a bright white and the bottom is a bright, primary blue.I don�t hate it, but it�s not my favorite. All personal preference, though. Beyond that, the case is great! Would not hesitate to buy a new one with a different design. :)

Bought this based on the wirecutter recommendation. It�s half the price but much thinner and flimsier than my old otterbox defender. Going to return it and get another otterbox.
