Limited Lifetime Warranty Repair/Exchange

If you receive a defective product or experience problems with your product that fall within the Smartish Limited Lifetime Warranty, you may process the return on our website and ship the defective product to our warranty department. To do this, just head over to our contact page and fill out the form with the following information in the message:

  • shipping address (address to which you'd like your repaired item shipped)
  • order number
  • explanation of the product problem

Note: Your repair/exchange may not be processed if we do not have all your information.

Our support staff will respond to your request and indicate if you need to return the defective product. If told to do so, ship your defective product with ticket number and all the above-listed information along with proof of purchase (which can be your Amazon emailed receipt) to our warranty department. You are responsible for any costs associated with shipping your product to the Smartish warranty fulfillment center. Smartish will cover the costs of shipping your exchanged/repaired item to you. Smartish cannot be held responsible for products lost or damaged in transit to us. We recommend that you insure your package and use a shipper, such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS that allows you to track your package. Once the product is received, we will process your return and ship you a replacement product.

Product Refund

Smartish guarantees complete 100% satisfaction with your purchase. Merchandise purchased at may be returned within 30 days of receiving the shipment for a full refund of the product cost or an exchange (see exceptions below). For products sold through our partnership with and the refund policies align with Amazon’s refund policy. In general, their return policy is 30 days from date of purchase for a 100% refund. If you ordered your product from Amazon, you must initiate your refund through Amazon’s website.

Smartish Warranty

Smartish warrants the original retail purchaser of this Smartish product ("Product") against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product from the date of original purchase ("Warranty Period"). If a defect arises and a valid claim is received by Smartish within the Warranty Period, at its option, Smartish will repair the Product or exchange the Product with a functionally equivalent new product. Smartish warrants repaired products and replacement products provided hereunder against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of the repair or replacement for the remainder of the Warranty Period. Proof of purchase is required for warranty service and should be retained. A proof of purchase may be in the form of a receipt or bill of sale, with the model of the product and the date of purchase stated.

Smartish’s limited lifetime warranty applies only to the Product. The warranty does not apply to any non-Smartish product, even if packaged or sold with the Product. The warranty excludes without limitation any scratching or surface damage to any non-Smartish product, even if packaged or sold with the Product.

This warranty applies only to the normal use of the Product in accordance with written use instructions, if any, provided with the Product (either in writing or through a hyperlink to such instructions). This warranty is limited and is not applicable to: (i) normal wear and tear; (ii) defects or damage caused by misuse, accident (including without limitation collision, fire and the spillage of food or liquid), neglect, abuse, alteration, act of God, unusual stress, commercial use, modification, improper or unauthorized repair, installation, or testing, improper storage, use in an unapproved device; (iii) use not in accordance with the documentation; and (iv) damage caused by the equipment with which the Product is used.

To the extent permitted by law, Smartish is not responsible for direct, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory, including without limitation any costs of replacing personal property, or costs of recovering or reproducing any program or data stored in a device used with or carried in the Smartish Product.

This warranty does not cover products purchased open box, sold as-is, by private party resale or any other third party purchases from unauthorized distributors. Transfer of Smartish products through unauthorized distributors renders this warranty null and void. This warranty gives the purchaser specific legal rights, you may also have other rights which vary from state to state that may result in the change of this warranty.

2-Year Limited Manufacturer Warranty

Not Covered Under 2-Year Limited Manufacturer Warranty. Even if You Ask Nicely with Puppy Dog Eyes:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accidental or intentional destruction that includes but is not limited to water, dropping of the product, or environments with high or excessive temperatures
  • Incidental or unintentional damage that includes but is not limited to electrical surges, floods, or other unavoidable acts of nature or unnatural causes
  • Abuse or damage while using the product outside of the intended purpose or used in countries with voltage higher than 110v
  • Tampering with or modifying the product

Additional Warranty Notes:

  • Smartish is not liable for damage caused to a non-Smartish product. Duh.
  • Any attempts to disassemble your product either by yourself or through a third party not affiliated with Smartish will void the 2 year manufacturer's warranty. No disassemble!

30-Day Apparel/Merch Warranty

Made a mistake? Don't sweat it. And don't sweat in it. You can return unworn, unused Smartish apparel and merch within 30 days of purchase.

Contact us and we'll make the return process easy as pie .


  1. Ship us the original unworn, unused Apparel/Merch item that you received (address below).
  2. Include a note with your original order number, return shipping address and a brief note describing what action you'd like us to take (i.e. "exchange for same shirt in size Large").
  3. When your original unused, unworn item arrives at our door, we’ll ship the correct item/size to you or refund ya.
  4. Go on a celebratory hike or taco run with your new Smartish Stuff.

14-Day Smartish Design Studio (Personalize Tab) Warranty

What’s your return policy for personalized products?

This is a tough one. If you don’t end up liking your photo of little Fluffy, certainly no one else will. But we understand mistakes happen. If the personalized products you receive differ materially from what you created on our design studio or if the products are otherwise defective, then you may return the personalized product for a full refund within 14 days of receiving your personalized case. If you just don’t like the design you created or mistakenly ordered the wrong size of phone case, then you may return the product for a 50% store credit towards a new case within the same 14-day window. Beyond that, personalize products have the same limited lifetime warranty as all Smartish products. Please keep in mind that our personalize prints are very very durable. But over the years, the corners of the prints can eventually wear down. So we have a "let’s be reasonable" policy on this. If the print chips in the first month, we’ll work with ya. If one corner is slightly worn after a year and a half, that won’t be covered. Deal? Deal. In any case, if you have a problem, simply notify us via our support page before returning any products to ensure that your return is handled quickly and accurately.
