I’m getting the Gripmunk since the iPhone X. Every iPhone i buy, gotta have his Smartish case. I’m waiting for my 14 Pro case now.

Got the Smartish Gripmunk for my iPhone 14 pro and customized print on the back; love the case, works great with a magsafe popsocket (clear, to not block my design!). The print came very slightly offset so it started peeling a little bit. I emailed customer service and they got back to me within 24 hours, and then very quickly sent me a new case, no hassle whatsoever. Great case, excellent customer service too!

This was my first experience with a Smartish case. I was looking for something slim and durable. While I haven't found the need to drop my phone while in the case just to see if it breaks, I will say that I am very confident in the design. The bright blue color goes well with the white phone, and the grip has a very subtle texture that is a bit unique from any of my previous phone cases. Very pleased and would recommend - Good Work!

I buy many cases for family members and this is one of the best. I particularly like the grip on the side and fingerprint indentions one either side of the case. The cutouts and buttons work perfectly. No complaints.

I LOVE this case! I originally got the Apple clear case and it was SO slippery. So I found this one and it’s great. Not only does it have grippy sides, it shows fingerprints much less.

Really a great value for a TPU based clear magsafe case. Not slippery like most others, and the magnets are nice and strong, just the right amount of give. Well done.

It is a great phone protector. So much so if anything happened to it I would buy the same one. But if you rely on magsafe, you might want to go else where. The magnets are super weak. They work, just weak.

Great look, feel, fit, and protection. Wireless charging works well through the case. Minus one star because NFC doesn’t work very well through the case. Tested with multiple YubiKey keys.

Great fit. Not a lot of added mass. Buttons are responsive. Very good protection. Easy to get on and off intentionally. Great good value.Frost3d gripper side don’t show iPhone color. Gripper side do provide excellent grip without affecting getting it in and out of pockets.

This case is light weight and has a great feel. Just felt nice and comfortable in my hand and the reasonable price feels good too!Not only would I recommend this product to you but anyone who’ll listen.

I like the simple look of it and the fact that it protects my phone well. I have dropped my phone multiple times and it has had no problem keeping it protected.

Everything is fine as the clear case

I had a regular clear case on my phone at first, but I’m Betty McButterfingers, so that was such a bad idea. Love this case so much! Not just the grippy texture, but also the molded sides — excellent!!

Good grip ability, lightweight, thin and camera protection.

I’ve exclusively used Otterbox Defender cases for over a decade. Sure, they’re bulky, but that means protection, right? Turns out Smartish has perfected low-profile, high protection cases. With Otterbox quality deteriorating, a friend recommended this case to me and I’m so glad I gave it a shot. It’s grippy on the sides and I love the galaxy design on the back. It’s easy to put on and take off (but not too easy). I also got their tempered glass screen protector and the install couldn’t be any easier. Smartish has a loyal customer now with their quality products at a reasonable price point.

I really wanted to like this case because I love the way it looks. It is supposed to be grippy, but I don't find it to be grippy at all. The iPhone 14 pro is clunky and a bit heavier than I am used to, so I want a case that I don't have to squeeze on tight to all the time. I was hoping the grip on this case would be better than it is. It is just notches in hard plastic. It might work better on people with heavier or larger hands.

Took less than 24 hours to arrive. This is the second Smartish Case I’ve owned. Perfect grip and very well executed. Marketing and packaging is on point. Made in Texas. Amazing price. Perfect. Please never change.

Finally a company makes a Perfect Phone Case.. I've tried 3 others all had smooth sides and while it was better than nothing I still felt the phone might slip out of my hand at one point.. I got this Case and it fits perfect, tight and the cover sticks past the camera lenses enough to protect them and it has the perfect grippy rubber feel when you hold it. Slides in and out of my pocket perfectly..

The Smartish Gripmunk has been my go-to for every iPhone I’ve bought in the last few years. They improve the grip (as you might expect based on the name) while adding minimal bulk. Past iterations have kept my iPhone totally unscathed the few times they’ve fallen onto concrete. This clear MagSafe variety has been on each of my last three iPhones with MagSafe. It helps significantly with magnet alignment and wireless charging. Finally, the customer service at Smartish is top-notch. They’ve responded quickly and promptly sent replacements the few times I’ve received cases with minor defects.

Good quality for the price!

I had a previous incarnation of this case for my iPhone 8+. I made the big jump to an iPhone 14 Pro this year and was planning on getting one of Apple's leather cases. After reading other reviews, saying the leather cases didn't hold up all that well - wearing out in around a year - I took a look at my current case. It was in good shape! So, why not get another one? I did and I'm quite happy. The clear case shows off my white/silver iPhone and it feels great in my hand without adding additional bulk. I love it!

I fell in the bundle trap and went with a liquid silicone case that came with a screen protector and lens protectors (that are now hermetically sealed to the lenses). Liquid silicone cases are garbage and I’m not sure why anyone buys them. They feel nice but attract way too much dust and dirt.This Gripmunk case is thin, yet substantive and will protect the phone at least as well as the liquid silicone case. The magnet feels a tad stronger and seems to align my MagSafe wallet better than the other case. The edges/lips aren’t as substantial as other cases but they’re sufficient. I had a Slayer Vol.2 case with my last iPhone but I wanted MagSafe capabilities this time around and the Gripmunk fits the bill.

The back has a lip to protect the cameras too. Nice feel to hold.

The thing I like the most about this case is that its thickness and apparent sturdiness is “just right”; it’s not a thin case that only protects against scratches, but it’s not a super chunky case that makes my phone feel bulky either.The buttons are molded in but have good feedback, and the ridge around the lenses is a contrasting black color which looks good. It fits well and is textured and has slight indents on the sides, so making it feel very secure when held. The material feels like matte hard plastic, it’s not sticky or rubbery but it is slightly flexible.A few weeks after I got this case I accidentally dropped/tossed my phone onto a concrete sidewalk from just above waist height, and there was no damage to the phone, and not even any scuffs on the case.The magnet on the back is not visible but it’s strong enough to keep the phone stuck to my car mount.I liked this case enough that I got another one for my partner.

Buy at your own riskAlternative: Otter Box Symetry > $49 = true air pocket walls all the way around, buttons are not mold integrated but harder smooth plastic making the volume buttons very responsive, plastic is substantially higher quality, much more protective and higher drop resistant.

Didn't think much but decided to try out this case for my new iPhone. I also bought 2 other cases (different well known name brands) to compare. This one has them beat! The material feels tough and premium, with a matte texture for gripping. The subtle finger grooves on the sides is a nice addition. I like that the case hugs the phone and doesn't protrude out too much, while still offering protection for the screen and back camera. Magnet was also stronger than the other two cases that I tried out. I was sold once I put my Magsafe wallet on the back and it felt surprisingly secure (much more so that the others).

Perfect blend of minimal with proper protection for your phone. Good blend of firm and flexible. No fingerprints. Easy to put on and take off. Happy with my purchase.

This is my second Gripmunk. It’s the best case I’ve ever had. The protective lip is big enough to protect from falls or scratches. And it’s super affordable.

Grip on the side is excellent and helps prevent the phone from slipping. The overall feel is great and the fit is spot on.Would highly recommend!

The Smartish iPhone 14 Pro case was a bit more expensive than the rest, but I am pleased with the purchase - which I made largely because of Wirecutter's review. What I like: (1) nice snug fit, but not too tight to get the phone in and out of the case, (2) more solid/sturdy than other slip-on cases I've had for other phones, (3) the buttons really work well - they cover the actual iPhone buttons perfectly and are easy to depress (unexpected when I ordered). I went crazy and bought one with the galactic space print. Good product.

The protection this offers is great. The sides are grippy, but the back of it is slippery.

Just what I was looking for. Well made, sturdy and good value for cost.

I love the branding/company, the look and feel of this case, and the fact that the magnets were strong enough to use on my MagSafe car mount. The only drawback was that the buttons felt stiff and harder to press (no clickiness). Overall I’m happy with the case since it is hard to find a great case with great grip at such a great price.

For the money, the grip on this case is outstanding. It’s a low key case that’s provided a sure hold. My only ding is I wish there was slightly better corner and peripheral padding. But still a great overall case.

I have the clear and black one. They both have amazing grip and are worth every penny! I love theses cases! If you want to have a mage safe wallet on it definitely hold very well! Definitely recommend this case! Protection is great too.

Decent. Functional, good fit. Would be a top budget option were it at a lower price.However, at the full MSRP of $20, the Smartish Gripmunk is difficult to justify on a $1000+ brand-new flagship. It's a definite downgrade from the likes of the $35 Caudabe Sheath: a svelte, refined rival well worth an extra $15.The smooth back on the Gripmunk is an artifact of Smartish's focus on custom prints, rather than a quality-first design decision. The contrast between the barren back and ridged, stippled sides is visually and tactilely jarring. The Sheath, conversely, applies a consistent, finer texture to the whole phone, forgoing side ridges for tight contours. The result is a more cohesive feel.The power/volume buttons on the Gripmunk are mushy and harder to press than the Sheath, lacking tactile and auditory feedback. Thinning the case around the button borders (like Caudabe, etc.) would probably help.I'd also prefer a Deeper Purple option to match Apple's understated, near-black rendition; this bright case overshadows the phone's subtle color.

Had this same case for my iPhone 11 and loved it, so getting one for my new iPhone 14 Pro was an easy decision. Great slim coverage for the bulky camera on the new Pro model with the same grippy, sturdy build. If it’s anything like it’s predecessor, I can expect excellent quality protection from drops despite its minimalism.

I love how I’m able to see my phone color and still provide protection for my new phone. The case quality is great and I love the raised protection for the back cameras! Highly recommend over any other clear case!

After three years of using a Smartish case on my iPhone 11, I knew that I'd be back to Smartish for my next phone. Two weeks in, I couldn't be more pleased with it.With my new Gripmunk case, my iPhone feels much easier to grip. The naked iPhone 14 Pro also refuses to sit flat because of the bulky camera array, but the Gripmunk really makes it a lot more stable on its back. I have also been using a MagSafe Pop-Socket with the case and thanks to the strong magnets embedded in the Gripmunk case my Pop-Socket doesn't come off until I want it to.But the best part of this case is just that it looks and feels nice. The texture looks great up close. I've had people ask if this is one of the official Apple cases because it looks so good, and I always smile and tell them I payed a lot less for something just as good.

I’ve had my phone for a week and returned 2 name brand cases because they were just awful and way more expensive than this one.I’m so happy with my purchase it’s cute, looks well made and the texture is actually really nice.I’m pretty impressed with this brand 10/10 will buy again!

This is my third generation iPhone case from Smartish. Their cases are fantastic, durable, fit like a glove. The texture around the edge helps make it feel like your phone won’t slip away. This generation includes being MagSafe compatible, making it easy to mount my phone in my car and charge wirelessly.These were previously a Wirecutter top choice and for good reason. Pick one up, you won’t be disappointed.

My favorite case for my new 14 Pro. I actually tested 5 different cases, which were all OK, but this stood out as the best fitting most comfortable to hold. And the least expensive…..The sides are grippy without being rough, the back is a soft smooth texture but not slippery. The fit is excellent and tight around the screen and camera. I thought this product deserved a positive review since it stood out for a very fair price.

Unless you're somebody who wants maximal protection – in which case you should go for a rugged case – this case is just about perfect. It's grippy, pretty to look at, and all around just an insane value. You can also tell from the packaging and marketing materials that this brand certainly has a great sense of humor which I appreciate!Do note that the magnet is a little stronger compared to other third party cases, so if you're, say, used to shoving away the MagSafe charger with one finger or taking off any MagSafe accessory easily, you won't be able to do that with this case. But stronger magnet is undoubtedly a plus in my book.

The case itself is of surprisingly high quality and it gives the iPhone a level of heft that makes it much easier to grip. Three grip indents on either side of the phone case are barely perceptible to the eye, but make for a tight grip on the phone when holding it one handed. The built in magnets work well with a variety of MagSafe accessories, so you can rest easy knowing that your other toys will play nicely with this case. Overall a very high quality case for the price point and certainly of better quality than the Apple made case of similar likeness (not to mention it's $30 cheaper!).

I’m not one to usually write reviews, but this is actually very pleasant surprise the case feels great it’s rigid, but flexible the microfiber inside is very soft and high-quality. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the grooves and texture around the outer edge of the case but after putting it on and holding it for a bit, you could tell the quality of the texture, and I actually have come to love it on the inside of the case it even shows that there are some patents that this case has which is nice to know that it’s actually some thing innovative and not just another Smartish case. I’m definitely going to consider using these in the future. I can’t wait to get my new phone!

These cases are so well made, with smart little details, for such a great price! Before I discovered these, I was buying $60 cases—these are far better. The only down side is selection of designs, but they have the custom option (which I haven’t tried).

I bought it for the grippiness factor so I don’t drop my phone in the first place. For this purpose, I find it fits the bill. It’s a little harder plastic and I cannot speak to whether it protects the phone well due to drops. I suspect it will to some extent.

Got this for my new iPhone 14 Pro. Fits like a glove. It doesn’t add a lot of unnecessary bulk. I’ve owned several of these over the last 5 years and Smartish delivers a great value together with protection. Get one. You’ll like it.

I had no problem putting the case on my new iPhone. It has a nice edge that over laps the edge of the phone to protect the face. I feel safe using my new phone now.

The textured side grip is also a nice feature.The case is also MagSafe compatible and works well. I have a portable MagSafe battery pack and the case holds it well. I’ll be buying another color.

I've been using Smartish phone cases since the iPhone X (when they were still called silk). Perfect balance of slimness and protection. But the best part is how it feels so secure in your hand. I don't know why I even try buying other cases, since I always just go back to my smartish case...

This case is exactly what I need -- fits my iPhone 14 Pro perfectly and has a good grip. The phone feels secure. Also, the MagSafe is awesome and secures very well to my car holder.

This is my 2nd case, I’ve had one for my iPhone 12 Pro for over a year and absolutely love this case. Best case I’ve ever had for iPhone. And the new 14 Pro case a perfect fit and exactly what I want.

went from the 13pro to 14pro.I had the same case for the 13pro and thought it was going to fit the 14pro. It was slightly off and could easily slip off with the 13 pro case. Glad Smartish released the 14pro case on time!I use this case during work only. Perfect for every need. It’s sturdy, easy on the hands and offers great protection. Also with this years camera upgrades, they are larger camera that stick out slightly.The upgraded case accommodated this by raising the rear back camera protection slightly. The inside of the case is lined with a softer material now.Originally bought this case for the grip, really hard to find a case that has grip.Although this isn’t the best grip, I would say the sides will just not be slippery. I think the case is economical solution for the iPhone 14 Pro. The test will be how it hold up after a few months. The packaging is nice. Wish they would have included a screen protector but I know manufacturers all over the world are rushing to get the cut out rights for the tempered glass. Good case though

I really like the build quality and feel of this case at this price point but the buttons (power and volume) are difficult to press.

This case is really underrated and a steal for $20. The case is thinner but just as protective as a $65 Mous case I was using. There is plenty of grip thanks to the textured sides. There’s even a felt on the inside to protect your phone from getting scratched by dust/particles. This case is up there with other high quality cases but thankfully the price is not. Buy it, you will not regret it!

Not too bulky, built sturdy. I feel confident using my new phone with this case on it. Felt lined interior which is usually found on more expensive cases. Like this much better compared to spigen/otterboxSide note: the camera bulge/opening on the iPhone 14 is huge. Makes cases awkward. There’s nothing wrong with this case, but the camera area is vulnerable and I would hate to drop it camera side down.
