This is my second gripmonk case. I had one for my last phone, so when I upgraded the phone I got the same case. I love it. It’s not too bulky, and I love how it feels to hold (I tend to drop my phone a lot and I originally bought this case in hopes it would lead to less dropping. I believe it has worked.) I was inspired to write a review today because I accidentally just ran over the phone/case with my car, and there is no damage to either!

The green is more of a turquoise in person--more vibrant than the photos. The print I ordered (Lightspeed) was also extremely faint compared to the photos and the last case I ordered, which was the exact same print for a different model. Aside from the evident consistency issues, this is a sturdy case and there's a reason I tried to repurchase for my new phone.

This case is exactly what I was looking for. Good protection with an attractive and unique design (I got the one with the diagonal color stripes).I find it’s just textured enough to not be slippery, but it is still easy to take in and out of my pocket.The fit, buttons, and cutouts are just right.And it’s made in Austin!

Value for money:The perfect case for me. I miss the days of my bumper cases (absolute minimum profile), but this feels like the adult version. Slim to fit in my pockets, easy latch to magnetic chargers, and I’ve dropped my phone enough to say this case has kept it safe!

Great case! Not bulky. Protects my phone very well. Not overly stylish, but the grands personalize it for me with fun stickers.

This phone protector is so easy to install. It is worth your money. It is lightweight and durable.

I have dropped the phone several times and there has been no damage. It feels good in your hand and snaps on and off easily, but does not come off by accident. Side controls are easily managed as well. It has not yet been a year, but there has been no discoloring.

This product offers epic phone case for the money. I've been using this case for my iphone for a few months now and after many bangs and drops my phone came out unscathed every time. I also like the materials on the outside which are a gritty rubber texture on the sides and a smooth matt feel on the back. Very easy to take on and off if your into switching cases while still holding the phone firmly in place. The buttons are clicky and I like how they cut out a nice size hole for the camera control button for ease of use. Overall win from Smartish I'm lovin it!

I had a clear Smartish Gripmunk on my old phone and loved it. I like having a colored phone but hate the idea of covering it up with a case. The clear case does the trick. The fit is perfect and the feel is perfect too - not sticky but nice and secure non-slip feeling. I like that it has a little lip in front of the front screen to protect it from a face down drop. It also has a little lip around the camera lenses on back as well. I paired it with a clear magsafe popsocket and all is good with the world!

What a beautiful design for an iPhone 16 case very durable and easy on the eyes and the packaging was superb will definitely purchase one of a different color.

Fit and finish is perfect. Grip on the side was great as well. I had a silicone case before and it always caught and pulled out my pockets. This works perfect.

Solid case! Fits the phone perfectly and the finger grooves and texture are great. The clear case also allows the color of the phone to shine through.

I saw a review of this case on the New York Times Wirecutter page and decided to give it a try for my new iPhone 16. I have always had Otterbox cases on my iPhones but I really don't like the design of the ones for the iPhone 16, plus they are really expensive. I rolled the dice on this Gripmunk case and after having it for a few weeks, I love it. It looks good, it protects my phone well, and the sides are definitely "grippier." I realize it is hard to make case that allows for use of the new Camera Button while also protecting the phone. The Otterbox cases were just open but this one has a thin strip to connect the sides and still offer some protection. I hope that part holds up over time, but so far it seems really good. The case snapped on with no issues and for the price, I really don't think it can be beat. It is certainly not thick and heavy, but I didn't want a thick and heavy case. I wanted something to protect my phone, give it some bump/drop/scratch resistance, and not be too slippery. This checks all the boxes and I am so glad I purchased this one. Kudos to Wirecutter for recommending it. They were spot on with their review and if I need an iPhone case in the future, I will happily look for another Gripmunk case.

I’m really happy with this case! It’s sturdy and easy to hold and has already protected my phone a few times in the month that I’ve had it.

I bought this case for my wife. Initially I bought it because it was almost the identical color of her iPhone.It is easy to install and remove and seems em do a good job at protecting my wife’s phone as she has dropped it a few times. The case is relative thin but doesn’t feel cheap and it has almost a silicone-rubber feel to it preventing it from easily becoming slippery.Overall, we are very pleased with this case, especially at this price point.

I have purchased many cases over the years, this one is by far the most impressive one I’ve owned. It is lightweight, grippy, ergonomic, and durable. Normally it’s tough to find something that is reliably durable and yet not bulky. If those are your main concerns, this is the case you want.

This is by far the best phone case I have purchased from Smartish (and I've ordered several over the years). The case seems to be very durable and well made. I love that this is made by a company here in the US. Look forward to purchasing from them again.

This is a great case, but the main product image is misleading. It makes the case look much thinner than it is. In reality, it’s very squared with a grippy texture on the side. I had this same case for my iPhone 13 Pro and repurchased when I upgraded my phone to the 16. I owned the blue before and this time went with green. Both cases show dirt with light staining within a few months. You can see that in the picture, near the corners. Additionally, the cases do begin to discolor within six months as well. Blue turned into teal. My ‘so jaded’ colored case has definitely faded and looks dull after six months of use. That said, I would still repurchase this case due to comfort, value, and protection. I’ve dropped my phone a lot. Not a scratch on it.

Exactly what I was looking for! I already have a Speck case for daily phone use, especially since I work in a warehouse I needed something with extra protection. But was looking for something I could purchase that could show off the teal color of the iPhone 16, this does an awesome job of that. The protection I would say is minimal, but it has a good grip that makes me feel comfortable when moving around with it in my hand. I would definitely purchase again.

This is a perfect iPhone cover. It was super easy to put on the phone and it stays on. The sides are are easy to grip. The cover doesn't really add any weight and it looks really nice with my phone.I bought one with the magnetic circle, and I'm not sure if that is really necessary. I don't see the use of it.

Made well with some shock resistance. Nothing like an Otterbox. But still good.

Basically it fits, a little flimsy around the camera button where it meets the front of phone(could be a bit more rigid). Allows screen protector to be used. It is a good case but wouldn't say it is a great case. Can't say what type of drop protection it will afford.

Been using the gripmunk since smartish was silk. Went with the clear back with the black sides this time and just as impressed. This is THE case to get for a one and done.

After looking around constantly for a nice hard sturdy case I finally found it here. I work in rough oily conditions and my phone would always slip out of my hands. But with this case it has a nice grip and isn�t as thick as other cases. It doesn�t slip out my hands and easy to clean love it!

This is a thoughtfully designed and inexpensive case. I particularly like the texture around the sides and the subtle grooves where your fingers rest. It�s not sticky like the Apple Silicone Case, so there�s no issues with sliding in and out of pockets and it�s not a dust and grime magnet.My chief complaint is the giant cutout for the camera control button. I�d happily purchase a revised version with a solid button similar to Apple�s own cases.

I love this case. It fits my iPhone 16 perfectly, is light weight and stylish. The cut-out for the camera control is amply sized and makes the button easy to use. Well, as *easy* as that button is, but that's for an iPhone review, not a case review :) The only thing I will note about the case is that this is essentially a black case with what appears to be a vinyl sticker on the back. It seems very sturdy and I have no indication it will be an issue, I was just a bit surprised when I got it. That said, it is exceptionally well made and I love this case. I have been using Smartish cases for the past few years and honestly, there is nothing as well made or light for the price. You really can't go wrong.

The case has a nice, grippy texture on the sides and feels well-made. The case has a minor blemish and the company had zero hesitation in sending out a replacement (which is perfect). Will keep buying these Gripmunk cases as long as they make them.

Case fit perfectly on my new iPhone 16. Magsafe magnets had a secure hold while still allowing seamless wireless charging. Case finish was sleek and felt pleasant in the hand while also looking fantastic. Lastly the Usb C charging cutout was large enough as to handle a variety of chargers without issue. 10/10

This phone case is made of soft plastic so it�s very easy to snap iPhone to the case. It fits perfectly with all buttons works even covered by the plastic except the camera button is through an open hole.The rim is finished with sand texture that helps to hold the phone easily. It also has curved rim at the lower side for fingers to hold the phone more solid.Only wish it has extra corner protection and lens protector included.

This case seems like it would be good protection. I like the rough textured edges on it to get a firm grip. I also like the finger grooves on the gripmunk. It�s a nice case!

I hoped this case would feel a little nicer to hold I find the sides to add too much bulk overall. The colors of the striped model just seem off. Hoped for a more retro look but this didn�t hit the mark. I�d keep it if it felt better in my hands.
